  • Directions from the south exit of Jungfernstieg rapid transit (S-Bahn) station to the information desk in the City Hall lobby: Leave the Rathaus-Passage to the left via the steps. Continue straight ahead for 50 metres parallel to the façade of the City Hall. In front of the large main entrance turn right towards the building. There is always a police officer on duty here. Go through the main entrance into the porch beyond. After 8 metres you will come to a wooden door, a vestibule and another wooden door. Enter the City Hall lobby and turn right. Walk 6 metres, past the fountain, to reach the information desk. Staff there will be able to help you with any questions.
  • Assistance dogs are of course welcome in the City Hall.
  • Information in Braille about the City Hall and the Hamburg Parliament in German can be borrowed from the information desk in the City Hall lobby.

  • The Hamburg Parliament website is currently being improved with the help of the BIK initiative for barrier-free information and communication.

We are happy to help if you have any further questions. Please get in touch with the visitor service (email: kontakt@bk.hamburg.de or tel: +49 (0)40 42831-2409).

We are always working to improve accessibility, which is not always easy in an historic building. Please do not hesitate to speak to us if you have a problem. We will do our best to find a solution so that you can be part of political life in Hamburg.
